Another Year, Another Holiday Season done

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you know that, in December, I participated in the 6th Annual Holiday Handmade Cavalcade. Shoppers came through the snow to see us! It was so exciting!!

Once again, we were at The Space @ 50 N. 3rd Street in Williamsburg. They are so good to us there! The foot traffic is amazing & we all love the raw space. The crowd looks like in this picture, but it got really busy both afternoons.

Here I am! We were very lucky to have Andy Brown come shoot our event. He took some fabulous photos!! Check out the full set on the EtsyNY Flickr page.

My girlfriend Laura launched her food products business at the Cavalcade. It was a wild success. She makes AMAZING crack cookies & DELICIOUS granola. You can see her products on Etsy & like her business…called Legally Addictive…on Facebook. How's her logo?? I did it!

Oh! And remember that trunk show I mentioned? It was at Color BKLYN in Prospect Heights. It was a good day. So nice to meet Penelope, who owns & runs this new shop on Washington Ave. She also has a place in DUMBO. The other sellers were great and mostly my EtsyNY teammates!

In general, my Christmas season was nuts! Up until the Cavalcade, I was busy doing the 2 shows I mentioned & making everyone else's holiday get off the ground. Holiday orders were many, particularly for notepads & continued right up to Christmas Eve! #blessings #yay! Check out these custom accordion fold Christmas cards for a client in TX:

And these that I did for a growing family in Nebraska! The inside was a small red thumbprint that looked like a Christmas ornament. It said Baby M (M for their last name) under it & the greeting finished up "from our growing family to yours". So cute!

Since I was working on holiday cards for so many other families, Mr. B kept comparing us to the Cobbler's children. Do you know the reference? Basically - a Cobbler's kids never have new shoes because he's too busy making them for everyone else. Ha, ha.

Our card is in the works though. I had to go with a New Year's theme since we're (half way!?) into January. Hoping to get those out this weekend. They are letterpressed! Yay! So, you know I'll be showing those off…As always, stay tuned!
