Irish Freebie :: St Patrick's Day Banner

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! Download my free banner and grab a pint of Guinness to get yourself in the mood!

It's easy to put together. You need string or ribbon, computer paper to print on, scissors & your choice of glue. I tried double-sided tape & a glue stick. The glue stick was the best choice.

Print the below sheet as many times as you need to get the length banner you'd like. One sheet makes about a 2 - 3 ft banner (depending on spacing of your pieces).

Cut out the pieces. Fold them in half so that the long points meet. Place them around your string & glue the insides together. See! Easy peasy.

I'm trying out a new-to-me site called Issuu for this freebie. Use the widget below to access the banner pdf. Send photos of your banner! I'd love to see!

If this isn't your speed, no worries. There are loads of great ideas for St. Patrick's Day on the Blogosphere. Here are a few of my favorites:

Ombre Shamrock tshirt from The Country Chic Cottage
Boozy Irish Car Bomb Trifle from Two in the Kitchen

{Easter freebie over at the NewNew Blog}

Happy Friday! Once again, I've got a special post over at the NewNew Blog. Fellow teammate Simone from Etsy shop Groundsel has started a new series offering free printables from NewNew members. I got to go first with this Happy Easter banner.

Go check it out! If you email pictures to me of how you use it, or tips on how you hung it, I'll post them here on my blog. Happy Weekend!

St. Patrick's Day - Get Your Green!

{image from Cafe Press}

I think of 2 things when it comes to St. Patrick's Day:

1. Where are we drinking...err...celebrating?
2. What am I wearing?

Question number 1 is almost as important as question number 2. I have several St. Paddy's Day stories about that. Picking your celebration spot is important but I will leave those tales to the foggy memories of the peeps that remember what I'm talking about...

This post is about question number 2. The answer to which remains unsought about by many, until the last minute. Or until they are viciously pinched by some St. Paddy's Day smarty pants.

I have a solution for you! Instead of swearing that you are wearing green underpants (which said smarty pants will ask you to prove) download the jpeg below. Print it on sticker paper or tape it to your person & tell that smarty pants what to do with his or her shamrocks.

What are you guys wearing this year? And how are you celebrating? Anyone going to Savannah, Boston or Dublin? Pub crawl? This year NYC is having it's 250th St. Patrick's Day parade. There will be plenty of "Erin Go Bragh" around the 5 boroughs tomorrow. Where ever you are, I hope the green beer & luck of the Irish are flowing!

Beannachtaí na Féile Páraic oraibh!
{Translation: St. Patrick's Day blessing upon you! More fun sayings here.}

PS I plan on making freebies a regular thing here on the blog, so check back often for the offerings. They will also live here on the K. Batty Design & Stationery website. Last year, I posted bookplates & have all kinds of printables planned for the coming months.

Cards of the Week - 2/14-2/19

Tired of the winter blahs, my cards of the week post is full of bright tones to get us all in the mood for our next season. Spring! It may be weeks away, but we can start to dream.

Totally smiling just looking at this card with its over-sized monogrammed & punchy colors. Buy as is or choose your own colors. From Em And Bee on Etsy.

This bright yellow stamped bird with matching yellow envelope is singing to me! {Holy Corniness. I need to go back to Barbados, people.} Find this lovely design on Etsy from Pink Bath Tub.

This fun Thank You note is a FREE printable download from Hey Susy. I smiled the second I saw it.

Did those put a smile on your face for Spring? I feel better already. My grandfather always said not to wish my life away, but man, I wish Spring would spring itself!

See ya!

For the love of books

Hello all! You know what I love? There are MANY answers to that, but today the answer is bookplates! I've been playing around making them for a while & thought...wait! Maybe others would like these. Perhaps I should ask!

Thoughts? Do you use them? Hate them? How about if they were free? I use them when I have them & have recently been making them. Here is my first set, for you guys to have use & love. Printing instructions are in the file. I'm just learning how to make downloads available here, so the link will take you to my website. Get it here.

Enjoy!!!
