Cupcake Toppers galore - a party at the Urban Meadow
Last week my niece turned 4. I can hardly believe it. She seems so grown up already!! My sister-in-law asked me to create cupcake toppers & a birthday banner to coordinate with the favors she ordered on Etsy. "No problem." I said! I am becoming old hat at these birthday party items. :)
Here are some pics from the fete...
M had a great time, as did her friends, as did her friends. We had the sprinklers on, bugs for the kids to find (some real, but mostly plastic ones). I'm flattered that Libby asked to be create these pieces for the party. They seem to be taking off! Now, how to include them in my Etsy shop...
Happy Friday!

Party with the Deadly Eye
{Image courtesy of Veer}Is the title of this post giving you the willies?? I promise you have nothing to fear. This Deadly Eye is the creation of the twin daughter of one of my clients, Ruby, & her girl friends. It's not scary, or creepy or related to anything in the horror category either. It's just the creation of a few 6-turning-7 year olds & this year it plays front & center at Ruby & her twin brother Jackson's birthday party.
I am really excited that I got the chance to turn the Deadly Eye into a party decoration. Ruby did a sketch for me to start from & I turned it into an vector illustration. This just a fancy way for me to say that I made a Ruby's piece of art into something I could resize. Ta Da!

Then we put it on the decor pieces. Here's what we came out with:
I am not sure when, but it is likely that similar party items will become listings in my Etsy shop. Minus Ruby's original art, obviously. Already, other requests for similar items have already been made (which I will show off next week!). I just need to work out the pricing a bit more. Stay tuned!!

Happy Birthday!!
Today is my dad's 70th birthday. You would never know it. It's shocking, really, that the man is 70. Saturday was his younger brother's birthday. Both of them are at an age & stage that if they want or need something, they buy it. So, what's a girl to do for their special day??
Why, make them stationery of course!
I've just tried out a new online printer with my fab Ahoy cards. The results are perfect so I boxed them up for Pops & my uncle, pairing them with colored envelopes this time, instead of my usual envelope liners. All of my family members have a love for 2 things - sailing & horses - so I know these will be a hit.
Thoughts?? Me likey.
