High 5 for Friday!!
1. Since listing them on Etsy, I've had a great response to my custom notepads! Filling orders like crazy = very happy K. Batty
2. We went fishing last weekend. Fun, even when you don't catch anything you can keep or want to eat.
3. Beautiful on the water - finally good boat weather!
4. Great times with my nieces in the water.
5. Pretend this is a video of Sophia learning "down" :) Yay!! It took a while to get her going, but she's getting it!!
As you can see, we have been on the water a lot in the last week. It's summer!! Yay! Have a great weekend!!

High 5 for Friday
A return this week to High 5 for Friday! Want to join the TGIF party? Head to The Lauren Elizabeth (formerly From My Grey Desk) to check out what others are thankful for this week.
Our sweet puppy looks more like a dog & less like a puppy every day. Still, she is a super snuggler...or trying to be. She's crammed in my lap, trying to take a nap as I type this. She's getting too big for it :( Makes me so sad!!
Yay for wedding season!! My dining room table is full of doilies for a special bride on Long Island. I just finished another set for another lovely bride here in Brooklyn which are also still on the table. Best. Mess. Ever.
The boat is going in this weekend. I am so excited. It means that summer is really here!
I am so thankfully for my other selling friends. Ilka Werner, Melissa Kelly, Zsuzsanna Barbu pictured above. There are many more :)
I sent my letterpress rollers off for maintenance this week. Seems like a month already. Can't wait to get them back already!
Happy weekend to everyone!!!

High 5 for Friday :: March 29, 2013
1. Look at this face! Sophia is here!! Last night...her first here & away from her liter mates... was rough, but after a few hours she stopped fussing in her crate & Mr. B & I got some shut eye. Thanks to Bridgette & the Leyendecker family from Great Lakes Gun Dogs for everything!!
2. What a week! If Sophia wasn't so cute, this would have been picture 1. Lots of work at VMG and orders to fill for K. Batty Design & Stationery. Yay!!
3. On Sunday last weekend, Mr. B & I took a drive through Green-Wood Cemetery here in Brooklyn. It is a historic site on so many levels & boasts some great sculpture...albeit they're grave markers, but beautiful nonetheless.
4. The great letterpress adventure continues! I got some more ink this week, as well as Super Soap, gloves & wipes to aid my clean up routine.
5. I love this graphic from Calypso's Pinterest boards. I do love the life I live!! I hope you do too.
Happy Weekend!

High 5 for Friday
Left to Right, Top to Bottom:
• My calligraphy is coming along in a short time.
• Had a great time making envelopes for my Valentine's Day cards!
• Chez Batty will soon be Puppyville.
• Oh, did I mention that I letterpressed my Valentine's Day cards?! I think that post is still a draft...Stupid busy week.
• Yesterday I took Molly for a bit while her big sister was at Daisy's. Big cookie for a little girl...
Happy Friday!

High 5 for Friday :: Ode to Rosepose
High 5 for Friday!! Today is a bittersweet post. First...it's my birthday, which is sweet. But, I've picked a kind of sad topic for my Friday post. Almost a week ago, my sweet almost 18 year old dog, Rose, went to dog heaven. We are all very sad. No matter how long she lived, it would never have been long enough.
However!! This week, I have been remembering all the wonderful, silly things about my dog from her younger years. So, I thought I'd share some for my H54F.

High 5 for Friday
Alan Davies is hilarious!! No matter your opinion on cats, you will laugh at this. I promise.
I am updating all my Christmas listings on my Etsy shop. I was so wrapped up in creating new cards & going to my first craft fair that I didn't really do that last year. Hence, I have a ton of new things coming to the shop. Very exciting!
It was our niece Molly's birthday yesterday! Isn't she cute? We celebrated with a big chocolate cake that she decorated herself.
I made her this card. It's an idea for kids' cards I've had for a while - simple, with just a number on it. Something they can actually read! I think I'll make some more & test them out with numbers 1 to 5. What do you think?
For the first time ever, I am having a hard time keeping this post to 5 things. Usually I get to the last one & struggle to think of number 5. But number 5 has to be...
Going to see Kermit Ruffins at Brooklyn Bowl last weekend with Mr. B, my brother, plus other assorted characters. Please pardon the less-than-steller pictures. Dark venue + Brooklyn Lager = shoddy camera work.
Happy Friday!

High 5 for Friday!
1. My Lifefactory Water bottle. Soooo sleek & I feel good about it being glass instead of plastic.
2. White Collar - my new favorite show. Thank you Netflix!
3. Mail Chimp - that chimp has earned his bananas, as has on of our programmer friends who has been saving my life this week by helping me out with email coding.
4. My grandmother's heating pad - when I'm under the weather & need it, I feel even better knowing that it was hers. Mine is yellow though. Find the one pictured on Etsy here.
5. Knitting - I've been working on a hat for ages. It's looking like I've made a few mistakes, but it's coming along. Loving the yarn I'm working with!
Happy Friday! Plans this weekend? I'll be at the Dekalb Market Saturday & Sunday. If you're in Brooklyn, come see me!

H54Friday
This week's top 5 are...
Pinterest - how do I love thee? Let me count the ways! So much inspiration. So easy to share!
My French Twist. There is a great tutorial on The Beauty Department here. I actually got this on my first try. It's shockingly easy. I'm just learning to do things like this with my hair so if I say it's easy, then you can be sure it's a cinch to do.

High 5 for Friday
I've posted 2 Fridays in a row! Wahoo!! Here we go, in no particular order...
My partner, my husband. Thanks for being my person.
My brother. Thanks for the chat today, dude. {fist bump!}
I've got cooking plans this weekend & I am PUMPED!!
Numbers 4 & 5 are kind of the same. I'm sorry to be unoriginal and say our boat again, but I'm gonna. Right now I've got white girl problems - work, work, work - which is a total blessing, but it makes these weekend boat trips that much better.
Ho Hum Beach. Yes, Bellport, you make my High 5 for Friday this week. It's quiet. It's gorgeous. It looks like it fell out of a Norman Rockwell painting. So glad to be spending the weekend here.
Have a great weekend!

High 5 for Friday!
Greetings from Key West!! Here are my 5 for Friday...
Triton Knot sailing bracelets from Kiel James Patrick. One of my girlfriends told me about them recently. The closure is an anchor! Might have to have one...
Boatman Geller on Pinterest. I'm addicted...
{picture courtesy of The Gardens Hotel}
My 13inch MacBook Pro. Bringing my work on the road is not exactly a vacation, but it does make me more relaxed, knowing that I can get small things done while I'm away from home.
Happy Weekend!! If you're in Brooklyn this weekend, there are some fun events going on at the Dekalb Market - a teen chef battle this afternoon, Contra dance party tonight & a Brasil Summerfest tomorrow! Sunday there is Pop-Up Yoga. How cool is that?

High 5 for Friday!
My new favorite blog is The Small Things Blog. Love the hair tutorials. Kate makes it all look easy & I have attempted several of her styles with success. Kate's sister, Lauren, also has a blog - From My Grey Desk. Again...love. She has a link party each Friday called High 5 for Friday & in an attempt to get myself back in the habit of a regular Friday post I am joining the fun.
Here we go! My 5 favorite things recently...
1. Monday we picnicked with friends in the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Why haven't we done that more often? It was great!
2. I love my husband :) He rocks.
3. As I reiterated in my last post, I've been drawing on our coffee mugs in the morning. Particularly proud of yesterday's creation. These are channel markers - on the left is a green can, on the right should be a red nun buoy, but my red marker was leaking so I threw it away. Pretend it's red.
4. Today, I'm rocking it out in our container at the Dekalb Market. Proud of our group at An Etsy Artist Assembly. The shop looks great!
5. The Beach Buggy...our boat. Can't wait to go for a ride tomorrow.
Want to share? Comment here, or head over to My Grey Desk & join the fun. Happy Weekend!
