Congratulations Traci & Nic!

{From August - invites hot off the press!}

This weekend has been many years in the making & the last few months in the planning. One of my best friends is getting married to a wonderful guy. Congrats Traci & Nic!!

I was super pumped to work on their invitations & other pieces. You can't tell from the photo above, but it's a map. It unfolds to reveal the invitation & enclosure cards inside. More photos to come! Have a good weekend everyone! I'm off to Mexico for a wedding!

Another Year, Another Holiday Season done

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you know that, in December, I participated in the 6th Annual Holiday Handmade Cavalcade. Shoppers came through the snow to see us! It was so exciting!!

Once again, we were at The Space @ 50 N. 3rd Street in Williamsburg. They are so good to us there! The foot traffic is amazing & we all love the raw space. The crowd looks like in this picture, but it got really busy both afternoons.

Here I am! We were very lucky to have Andy Brown come shoot our event. He took some fabulous photos!! Check out the full set on the EtsyNY Flickr page.

My girlfriend Laura launched her food products business at the Cavalcade. It was a wild success. She makes AMAZING crack cookies & DELICIOUS granola. You can see her products on Etsy & like her business…called Legally Addictive…on Facebook. How's her logo?? I did it!

Oh! And remember that trunk show I mentioned? It was at Color BKLYN in Prospect Heights. It was a good day. So nice to meet Penelope, who owns & runs this new shop on Washington Ave. She also has a place in DUMBO. The other sellers were great and mostly my EtsyNY teammates!

In general, my Christmas season was nuts! Up until the Cavalcade, I was busy doing the 2 shows I mentioned & making everyone else's holiday get off the ground. Holiday orders were many, particularly for notepads & continued right up to Christmas Eve! #blessings #yay! Check out these custom accordion fold Christmas cards for a client in TX:

And these that I did for a growing family in Nebraska! The inside was a small red thumbprint that looked like a Christmas ornament. It said Baby M (M for their last name) under it & the greeting finished up "from our growing family to yours". So cute!

Since I was working on holiday cards for so many other families, Mr. B kept comparing us to the Cobbler's children. Do you know the reference? Basically - a Cobbler's kids never have new shoes because he's too busy making them for everyone else. Ha, ha.

Our card is in the works though. I had to go with a New Year's theme since we're (half way!?) into January. Hoping to get those out this weekend. They are letterpressed! Yay! So, you know I'll be showing those off…As always, stay tuned!

I want to send you a birthday card!

It hit me on my birthday last year…Facebook has replaced the birthday card.

Don't mistake me. It made me so glad to see how many people thought of me on my birthday & posted on my wall. Thanks Facebook for making sure they knew it was my big day. I am super grateful for the times you've reminded me about someone's special day.

Then, I got a little sad…no cards for me. No snail mail. Even my inbox is just full of bills these days. Booooo!!!

So, this year I want to start a new initiative! Do you like getting snail mail? 'Cause I do & I want to send some to you. I want to send you a card for your birthday.

Fill in THIS FORM to give me your name, address & birthday. All information will be kept confidential. I'm not even asking for the year you were born. Who cares?! You're not signing up for my newsletter & I'm not going to send you any promotional anything. Just a birthday card.  One entry per person please. If you'd like me to send cards to anyone else, send them this post & make sure they sign up.

Cards will go out during your birthday month. Smiles will be put on faces…yours as well as mine!

Happy Happy New Year!

From our house to yours, we hope you had a very very Merry Christmas & wish you all the best in 2014.

We had a MOST relaxing holiday. We NEEDED IT!! This was maybe my busiest holiday season to date. Loads of orders…I participated in the Holiday Cavalcade again. Then, there's just the usual amount of goings-on during the holidays. It was fabulous & when Christmas Day came, I was ready for the vacation.

So, enough radio silence! Happy 2014. Talk soon!
